Miami Dolphins 2018 Schedule Released

No matter how loudly Miami fans grumble or how many jokes the “peanut gallery” crack, they all will be updating their Google Calendars.

The NFL announced full team schedules late Thursday, including the Dolphins’ 16-game slate for the 2018-19 season.

Miami, which missed the playoffs after finishing this past season 6-10, earned a tough draw for this coming season – having to matchup with the AFC South and NFC North in addition to its two-game battles with its AFC East rivals.

Also, the Dolphins’ 2018 schedule includes five playoff teams from this past season – New England, Buffalo, Tennessee, Jacksonville, and Minnesota.

The Fins will open the regular season with a home game against the Titans on September 1st at Hard Rock Stadium. It is just the second time since 2011 the Dolphins have opened the season at home and first since 2014 after the Dolphins’ season-opener against Tampa Bay last season was moved to Week 11 due to Hurricane Irma.

After the home opener, three of the Dolphins’ next four games will be on the road. Miami will travel to face the New York Jets – who could be starting a rookie quarterback in 2018 – in week two and will be on the road for weeks four and five to face the Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals respectively.

Miami will host two NFC North teams in back to back weeks, welcoming head coach Adam Gase’s former team – the Chicago Bears – to town on October 14th and the Detroit Lions on October 21st.

NFL schedule makers hit the Fins with a double whammy in week eight, making Miami’s one primetime game – a Thursday night game (Oct. 25) at the Houston Texans – just four days after its game matchup with the Lions.

The Dolphins have two more games – a November 4 home game against the Jets and a November 11 trip to Lambeau Field to face Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers – before getting to their bye week.

The bye week will give the Fins a breather before finishing out the regular season with a murderous row of games (three home and three away), five of which will be against teams 2017 playoff teams – two against the Bills (Dec. 2 & Dec. 30), at home against New England (Dec. 9) and the Jaguars (Dec. 23) and a road game against the Vikings (Dec. 16).
